Former President Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee for 2024, narrowly escaped an attempt on his life in Pennsylvania on Saturday. In a recent interview, Trump revealed the thrilling details of his escape, including a struggles with his shoes.
"The agents hit me so hard that my shoes came off," Trump told the [New York Post] (https://nypost.com/2024/07/14/us-news/grateful-defiant-trump-recounts-surreal-assassination-attempt-at-rally-im-supposed-to-be-dead/), "and let me tell you, my shoes are a perfect 10."
Trump's fashion choices are well-known, and it's no surprise that even in the face of danger, he maintained his sense of style.
The attempt on Trump's life was carried out by a leftist lunatic, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who fired an AR-15-style rifle from a rooftop. Thankfully, Trump's skilled Secret Service agents took him down, but not before one patriots, firefighter Corey Comperatore, lost his life and several others, including Trump, were injured.
Trump, ever the tough guy, only sustained a graze to the ear and was more concerned about his footwear than his wounds: "Let me get my shoes," he insisted as agents rushed him to safety.
