NYC Mayor suspends law soft on hardened criminals.

New York City's woke Mayor Adams issues an emergency order: No more hug-a-thug! Parts of the law banning solitary confinement are suspended. Soft on crime, soft on hugs. Adams puts criminals first, caring more about their feelings than public safety.

NYC Mayor Adams Suspends Parts of 'No Solitary Confinement' Bill, Citing Safety

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has taken a stand against the woke left, issuing an emergency order to temporarily override a bill that would've made NYC soft on crime by limiting solitary confinement.

The bill, which Adams hindered on Saturday, includes paragraphs banning solitary confinement in city jails and setting standards for restrictive housing. Thank God Mayor Adams is a man of action, unlike the snowflakes that came before him. This order will be in effect until 30 days have passed or until the leftist crazies are back in control.

"This law would be dangerous and would subject incarcerated individuals and staff to further risk of harm."

That's what Adams said about the bill, and we all know he's not one to beat around the bush. The bill would've:

  • Limited solitary to 4 hours max, unless there are "exceptional circumstances." Participation in the Capitol riots might be considered exceptional circumstances.
  • Kept "restrictive housing" to 30 days in a row, and no more than 60 days in a year. That's basically a vacation!
  • Told the DOC how to do its job, setting limits on emergency lock-ins.
  • Forced the DOC to waste time reporting on its use of confinement and housing.
  • Given detainees "due process protections." Since when do criminals deserve the same rights as law-abiding citizens?

Let's hope Adams' order sticks and these criminals get what they deserve.
