Donald Trump braved the lion's den Wednesday, facing off with a panel of journalists at the NABJ conference in Chicago. In a town hall-style meeting, Trump took questions from ABC News, Semafor News, and even Fox News' Harris Faulkner for nearly 35 minutes.
The event, which was scheduled to last an hour, was meant to give Trump the opportunity to address issues important to Black Americans. NABJ President Ken Lemon set the tone for the event, stating:
"While NABJ does not endorse political candidates... we welcome the opportunity [for our members] to ask the tough questions that will provide the truthful answers Black Americans want and need to know."
You can say that again!
Trump's opponent, Kamala Harris, is reportedly in talks to speak with the organization virtually, presumably from her underground bunker, after the convention.
