God-fearing Lady gets life.

Texas Woman Sentenced to Life for Her Role in Christian Ponzi Scheme
A Texas woman, Debra Mae Carter, 65, was sentenced to life in prison for her part in a Ponzi scheme led by a Christian radio host, William Neil "Doc" Gallagher. Carter, the mistress and brainchild of the scheme, was found guilty by a jury of money laundering in July.
"She's a blight on society. She's just a liar." - Prosecutor Lori Varnell
The "Money Doctor," Gallagher, defrauded mostly elderly investors out of $31 million, with over 170 victims. He promoted his business on Christian radio and through books, scamming faithful listeners. The con-artist couple scammed investing retirees, with victims losing their life savings and homes. One victim, 84-year-old Brenda Wilkerson, lost $50,000, and now faces mortgage payments for the rest of her life.
The Texas justice system handed Carter and Gallagher life sentences, where they can enjoy each other's company for eternity. With $200,000 in gold and silver confiscated from Carter's trailer, maybe these criminals can start a retirement fund of their own.
