Gov't-like monopoly sports streaming service launching at highway-robbery price of $42.99. Call Big Brother!

Venu Sports is set to launch this fall with a monthly price tag of $42.99. For that price, you'll get a bunch of sports ball and maybe some NFL action too. Overpriced? Sure! But who cares when you can finally watch some real American entertainment without those damn libs getting in the way!

ESPN, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery are taking a swing at the streaming game with their new service, Venu Sports, coming in hot at $42.99/month. That's right, folks, for the low, low price of a six-pack of decent beer, you can now catch all the sports action your heart desires (minus some NFL action, but who's counting?).

"With an impressive portfolio, Venu will provide a single destination for watching the most sought-after games," said CEO Pete Distad, fresh from Apple and Hulu, promising a "compelling price point" for cord-cutters.

Launching this fall, Venu Sports will offer 14 live sports channels, on-demand programs, and archives from ESPN+ and other networks. No more missing out on the big game just because you ditched cable!

The service will feature major leagues like MLB, NBA, NFL (most of it), NHL, WNBA, MLS, and NWSL. College sports fans can catch NCAA football and basketball, while racing enthusiasts get to see all three Triple Crown events.

Channel surfing? Venu's got you covered with ABC, ESPN, FOX, and a host of other networks. But sorry, folks, no Olympics or men's basketball Final Four switch-ups here - NBC and CBS got there first.

Will it be worth it? Well, at least you won't be missing out on the NBA action come 2025, thanks to Amazon, ESPN, and NBC's deal. Oh, and did we mention Warner Bros. Discovery is suing the NBA over broadcasting rights?

The streaming game just got a whole lot more interesting. Buckle up, folks! #VenuSports #StreamingWars #NoMoreMissedGames
