Texas Flags at Half-Staff for Communist Commie Sheila Jackson-Lee, Who Wanted to Take Your Guns and Abortions

Yup, you ain't seeing things, folks. Texas flags are at half-staff today 'cause our Governor, Greg Abbott, wants to honor some leftie commie gal who wanted to take our guns and our abortions.

Sheila Jackson-Lee, a Democrat who represented Houston in the U.S. House for nearly 30 years, kicked the bucket back in July. She was 74. Guess God needed an angel to play the saxophone, seeing as Jackson-Lee was in the Congressional Black Caucus. Ain't too torn up about it.

Anyhoo, according to the government, you fly them flags at half-staff when:

• It's Memorial Day, but only till noon. Gotta respect the troops, y'all.
• Peace Officers Memorial Day, unless ya wanna start a war with the boys in blue.
• Patriot Day. Duh.
• National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Those Japs won't soon forget that one.
• National Firefighters Memorial Day. Those boys are alright.

Ol' President Eisenhower said ya should also do it when some government bigwig croaks. That includes:

• 30 days for a current or former President.
• 10 days for the VP, Chief Justice, or Speaker of the House.
• The day of death and sometimes until burial for other government honchos.

So there ya have it, folks. Old Sheila gets her flags at half-staff. Just remember, she may be flying high today, but she's burning in hell tomorrow.
