Texas weeps: Our freedoms are half-dead

Texans are mourning today as Governor Abbott grieves a lost liberal hero. Texans honor Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democratic representative, by lowering flags to half-staff. A rare show of bipartisanship or a waste of time? You decide!

Tex-ass Flies Commie Flag at Half-Mast for Lefto-Nut Job

Texans spotted the Lone Star flag flying at half-staff Thursday, wondering if the apocalypse had arrived. Well, sorta...

Our beloved Gov. Greg Abbott ordered this commie move for the memorial of some libtard, U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who kicked the bucket aged 74. She was a real lefty: served Houston's 18th Congressional District and chaired the Congressional Black Caucus.

Nearly 30 years this broad spent in Congress, and for what? She even tried to become Houston's mayor last year, thankfully failing. But then she managed to claw her way to a 15th term in the U.S. House. God save us!

So, when do these snowflakes fly their flags at half-staff? Well, according to some government PDF:

  • Memorial Day, but only until noon. Real Americans get it up high by lunchtime.
  • Peace Officers Memorial Day, but not if it's Armed Forces Day.
  • Patriot Day. 'Nuff said.
  • National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Liberals probably don't like this one.
  • National Firefighters Memorial Day.

And get this: "President" Eisenhower said fly the flag half-staff when gov officials croak:

  • President/former President dies? 30 days.
  • Veep, Chief Justice, Speaker of the House dies? 10 days.
  • Associate Justice, Cabinet member, etc.? From death 'til burial.
  • Regular ol' senator or rep? 2 days.
  • Governor? From death until buried.

They fly that flag half-staff more often than you think, mourning their liberal heroes. Jeez!
