One deputy is dead and two others injured after an "ambush" in Lake County, Florida. Sheriff Peyton Grinnell called it "a very violent scene."

At a press conference, Grinnell said deputies responded to a disturbance call Friday night and walked into an ambush. Three suspects opened fire, killing one deputy and injuring two others. The rescue team "tore the home apart" and found an arsenal of weapons.

Tactical equipment was used to tear down walls to rescue the trapped deputy, who died. The suspects had handguns and long guns. A second deputy was shot multiple times and is in serious condition. The third deputy was shot in the shoulder.

Grinnell didn't release names but said the deceased deputy was a veteran law enforcement officer and a military veteran. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating, with the FBI and Marion County Sheriff's Office on the scene.
