Arizona Senator Mark Kelly is reportedly being considered as a possible running mate for Kamala Harris, completing his meteoric rise from astronaut to almost-politico. Kelly's wife, Gabrielle "Gabby" Giffords, was the real politician in their family until she got shot in the head and had to resign. Now, Kelly's making moves.

Kelly was a "space guy" and a Navy combat pilot in Operation Desert Storm. He and his twin bro, Scott, were NASA's dream team, but it was his relationship with Giffords that got him involved in public policy.
