Deep in the Heart of Texas, a CFO's Exit Stages Left

The Austin school district has placed its CFO, Eduardo Ramos, on paid leave after he was arrested for insurance fraud. Paid leave? Way to go, liberals! This dude commits a felony and you give him a paid vacation. He should be in prison, not chillin' by the pool sipping margaritas.

"Doesn't involve any alleged criminal activity related to Ramos' work..."

Yeah, OK. Sure. Round Rock PD is just jumping to arrest the district CFO for no reason. It's a deep state conspiracy, folks!

Ramos, a mere 51 years young, was taken into custody by the long arm of AISD PD on July 31. Brave men and women, those AISD cops. A warrant was out for his arrest, and Travis County isn't the kind of place you want to be when that happens.

Supt. Matias Segura, a real stand-up guy, announced that Ramos was placed on leave late Friday. Better late than never, I suppose. District staff and students are apparently as pure as the driven snow, not involved in this shady business.

Ramos, knowing the gig was up, had already planned his exit. He claimed he was leaving for "another opportunity." Sure thing, buddy. We all know you were jumping ship before you got pushed. Katrina Montgomery, the interim CFO, will sort this mess out while Ramos enjoys his paid holiday.

So, liberals, remember: crime doesn't pay... unless it's insurance fraud in Austin. Then you get a paid vacation!
