Hey there, snowflakes! It's that time of year again when we send the kiddos back to the liberal indoctrination centers, aka public schools. But don't worry, Texas has a treat for ya'll to ease the pain: Tax-Free Weekend!
Save your hard-earned cash, y'all!
As we gear up for another year of liberal propaganda being shoved down our kids' throats, at least we can save a few bucks on their school supplies and clothes. From Friday, Aug. 9 to Sunday, Aug. 11 (mark your calendars, folks!), you can stock up on all the essentials without forking over your hard-earned cash to the damn government.
Now, the snowflakes in Austin have a list of what's included, and it's pretty damn extensive:
- Your basic school supplies: binders, pencils, pens, paper, calculators, and even blackboard chalk (if your kid's school still uses chalkboards, God help them).
- Clothing and footwear: shirts, pants, dresses, jackets, shoes, and yes, even socks and underwear.
For the full list, check out the Texas Comptroller's website. Those bureaucrats might be a bunch of paper-pushing liberals, but at least they've got this handy-dandy list for us.
Now, there are some things the liberal elites down in Austin don't want you to save money on:
- Anything over $100. C'mon, we don't want those big spenders avoiding taxes, do we?
- Special athletic clothing or footwear. Unless your kid is the next Tom Brady, they don't need special treatment.
- Accessories like jewelry, purses, or briefcases. Sorry, ladies, no new purses this weekend!
- Computers, software, or textbooks. Can't let the kids get too much education, now can we?
But hey, at least we can take advantage of this little taste of freedom from taxes, even if it's just for a weekend.
Oh, and don't forget, you can shop in-store, online, or by mail. Just make sure to take advantage of this great American savings opportunity before the libtards in charge take it away!
