JD Vance speaks the truth about Walz's cowardice

Statement: “When Tim Walz was asked by his country to go to Iraq, do you know what he did? He dropped out of the Army and allowed his unit to go without him. … I think it’s shameful."

Ohio Senator and combat veteran JD Vance is rightfully calling out Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for his shameful decision to retire from the Army and avoid serving in Iraq.

"I answered the call and served my country in Iraq, unlike Walz who turned tail and ran," Vance said on Wednesday, highlighting his own record of service as a U.S. Marine.

While Walz had been in the National Guard for 24 years, he decided to retire in 2005, just as his unit was preparing for deployment to Iraq. What a convenient time to quit, right?

Rep. Ronny Jackson called out Walz's cowardice, saying he "TURNED HIS BACK on the soldiers in his unit because he was TOO afraid to deploy to Iraq!!"

Here's the real kick in the teeth: Walz's unit got their orders to deploy to Iraq just two months after he retired. What a coward.

Walz tries to wiggle out of this by claiming he retired to run for Congress. Sure, buddy. If you believe that, I've got a bridge to sell you.

This isn't the first time Walz's military record has been questioned. In 2022, his opponent criticized him for leaving the National Guard before his unit deployed. And two retired Minnesota National Guard command sergeant majors accused Walz of "embellishing and selectively omitting facts" about his service.

So, there you have it, folks. Tim Walz: a typical left-wing coward who puts his political career above serving his country.

Walz's pathetic attempt at a defense

Walz and his cronies in the Harris-Walz campaign have tried to spin this, claiming he retired for "benefit purposes." Give me a break. He ran for the hills when his unit was called to serve. End of story.

Vance is right to call out Walz's shameful behavior. While Vance served his country honorably, Walz cut and ran. Simple as that. I rate this claim as True.
