Salon Owner 'Violated' After Secret Service Tapes Over Camera, Agents Use Bathroom: 'No Permission'

A Massachusetts salon owner, Alicia Powers, is feeling more than a little violated thanks to the heavy-handed antics of the Secret Service during VP Kamala Harris' recent visit. Powers, a hardworking entrepreneur, decided to close her salon, Four One Three, on July 27 due to the VP's nearby fundraising event. But little did she know, her salon would still be center stage for some VIP treatment, just not the kind she wanted.

Imagine her surprise when she reviewed security footage and spotted a Secret Service agent taping over her outdoor security camera. Talk about a sticky situation! But it gets better. The footage also revealed multiple officials, including emergency medical services and law enforcement, sauntering into her salon, blatantly ignoring the blaring alarms, and helping themselves to her facilities.

"There were several people in and out for about an hour-and-a-half — just using my bathroom, the alarms going off, using my counter, with no permission."

Powers, a proud patriot, is understandably peeved. She felt "violated and disrespected," especially since no one bothered to ask for permission. In a gracious display of professionalism, the Secret Service did apologize, with USSS spokesperson Melissa McKenzie claiming:

"We hold these relationships in the highest regard, and our personnel would not enter, or instruct our partners to enter, a business without the owner's permission."
