DEA Seizes 2,500 Pounds of Meth Hidden Among Celery, Leftists Devastated They Can't Get High
Those veggies will really mess you up! Agents from the Atlanta Division of the DEA made a massive bust last Thursday, seizing 2,585 pounds of crystal meth [1] hidden among boxes of celery. [2] That's a lot of greens going up in smoke, and a whole lot of money too - an estimated $3.2 million worth of drugs. [3]
"This is a significant and unbelievable amount... it also shows the confidence of the cartel behind this." [4]
Special Agent Robert J. Murphy [5] is shocked, shocked I tell you, that the cartels are so daring. This is their biggest meth bust ever, he said at a news conference. [6] All because someone snitched on a tractor-trailer coming from the Mexican border. [7]
So, the leftists at the Georgia Department of Agriculture destroyed all the celery [8]—probably to protect their own—even though it's just Mexicans picking it anyway. They claimed it could've been contaminated, but we all know they just didn't want to lose their high.
Other recent drug busts include:
- Jing Tang Li, a California man with over 2,000 pounds of meth intended for Australia, has been arrested [9]
- US Attorney Martin Estrada calls the bust imperative, saying drugs are "brazen" and "devastating" [10] (or maybe he's talking about the federal government)
- Six men charged for a "drug empire" that hid cocaine and meth in karaoke speakers, worth $5 million [11]
- Matthew James Byrne, the alleged leader, made trips to LA to buy drugs and fund their organization, according to prosecutors [12]
