Libtard Rag Wins Award for Doing Its Job

The Austin American-Statesman has been awarded a fancy-pants Edward R. Murrow Award by the RTNDA (that's the Radio Television Digital News Association, for those not in the know). Why, you ask? Well, these snowflakes think it's pretty darn special that the paper managed to report on a shooting. In case you missed it, there was a two-city shooting way back in December. Some crazy dude went on a rampage, killing six people, including four in Austin. What a hero, huh?

Our newsroom understood that the community was being terrorized...

Yep, that's Courtney Sebesta, the Executive Editor, feeling all proud. I mean, the newsroom understood the community was being terrorized. No way! Of course, they were terrified, a shooting happened! What are they gonna do about it, Courtney? Read them a bedtime story?

Anyway, this dude who did the shooting apparently had some issues. Schizophrenia, they say. The Army kicked him out in 2015 for "unacceptable conduct." Unacceptable conduct? Sounds like a snowflake who couldn't handle the heat. But I digress.

So, the Austin American-Statesman gets this award. Big whoop. They wanna give it an award for upholding some ethical code and technical expertise? Sure, go ahead. Doesn't change the fact that it's just another liberal rag pushing its agenda. But hey, at least they did their job for once, right?
