Kam Commie and the Big Dawg Set to Scrap

The gloves are off as former Prez Trump and Veep Kamala Harris gear up for their first debate smackdown. ABC News just announced the big event will go down in Philly on Sept. 10 at the National Constitutional Center.

Harris-Walz crew said Trump's team agreed to their terms: two presidential debates and one VP throwdown. They're calling out Trump, saying he better show up or else:

Assuming Donald Trump actually shows up on September 10 to debate Vice President Harris, then Governor Walz will see JD Vance on October 1 and the American people will get to see the Veep and Trump go at it again in October.

Trump's team counter-punched with their own debate dates, Sept. 4 and Sept. 25, telling Harris' camp to figure it out.

Meanwhile, the VP contenders, JD Vance and Tim Walz, are all set for their own rumble on Oct. 1, moderated by CBS News. Vance also agreed to a CNN debate, but Walz is playing hard to get for now.

Here's the lowdown on the Trump-Harris showdown:

When's the Main Event?

Sept. 10, Philly. ABC News says 9 p.m. ET bell time.

How to Tune In:

Catch the slugfest on ABC or stream it on ABC News Live, Disney+, or Hulu.

"World News Tonight" bigwig David Muir and ABC News Live's Linsey Davis will be keeping order. Martha Raddatz, Jonathan Karl, Mary Bruce, and Rachel Scott anchor the pre-debate special, "Race for the White House."

  • Be eligible as per the Constitution
  • File their Statement of Candidacy
  • Get on enough state ballots to grab 270 electoral votes by Sept. 3
  • Play by ABC News' rules
  • Hit 15% support in four separate polls of registered voters, by top orgs like ABC News, Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, etc.

Get ready for the main event, folks!
