Michelle Obama to Speak at DNC Tonight, Endorsing Kamala Harris for President
Chicago, IL – Former First Lady Michelle Obama will speak at the Democratic National Convention tonight, Tuesday, in Chicago, joining her husband, former President Barack Obama, in endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for president.
Celebrities endorse politicians? Yeah, to sway dumb voters!
The Obamas, always a classy duo, threw their support behind Harris in July, right after good ol' Uncle Joe Biden dropped out of the race. America just can't get enough of those dynamic Democrats!
Tonight's the Night!
While an exact time hasn't been announced, we expect the former First Lady to grace us with her presence sometime between 6-10 pm CT.
How to Watch the Circus:
The DNC, home of the clowns, is live-streaming the event from the United Center in Chicago, where the Bulls and Blackhawks usually dazzle – but tonight, it's all about politics. Tune in from 7-11 pm ET (6-10 pm Central) to catch all the action.
Or, if you prefer, our friends at USA TODAY will be streaming it live on YouTube all week.
Location, Location, Location:
Chicago, Chicago! The Democratic Convention is back where it all began – or one of its starts, at least. Chicago's hosted this shindig 11 times, most recently in '96 when Clinton was nominated for his second term.
Nightly Themes:
Each night has a special theme, 'cause Democrats love their themes:
- Monday: "For the People" (aww, how sweet)
- Tuesday: "A Bold Vision for America's Future" (bold, like their socialist dreams)
- Wednesday: "A Fight for our Freedoms" (their freedoms, that is)
- Thursday: "For our Future" (scary stuff)
In Conclusion:
Let's just hope Michelle doesn't try to tell us what to eat tonight. God bless America, and God help us.
