"Olitz" Fans in Frenzy as Hollywood Elites Push Leftist Agenda at DNC

In a spectacle that could only be described as a left-wing love-fest, Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn, stars of the melodramatic "Scandal," reunited on stage at the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Thursday night.

Washington, known for her role as political drama queen Olivia Pope, took the podium to rally the Democrat faithful and shill for presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

"As I stand here, I know there are folks on social media saying 'Go back to your TV show. Shut up and act.' But I am not here tonight as an actor. I am here as a mother, as a daughter, as a proud union member," Washington stated to a fawning crowd.

Continuing her tirade, she added, "I am here as the granddaughter of immigrants, as a Black woman descended from enslaved people. I am here tonight because I am an American and because I am a voter and because we, the people are stronger when all our voices are heard."

"Selfie" Stunt with Goldwyn

After her rousing speech, Goldwyn, who played the fictional President Fitzgerald Grant III, joined Washington on stage for a selfie video with the audience.

"Are you ready for Kamala Harris to win?" Washington asked, to which the crowd responded with a resounding "Yes."

"Good, because when Kamala wins, America wins," she declared. "We did it, Joe."

Social Media Reacts

The "Scandal" reunion at the DNC sparked nostalgia among the show's die-hard fans.

"Let me go re-watch Scandal cause it's giving NOSTALGIA," one fan wrote.

Another fan added, "Olitz on #TGIT? The country needs it! I would be even more grateful if the rest of the gladiators made an appearance...and papa pope."

The two actors, whose on-screen romance was as messy as a liberal policy platform, continued their friendly banter on social media.

In June, Washington participated in the viral #BlackWifeEffect challenge, joking that she had a hand in Goldwyn's apparent "glow-up." She also used the moment to push voter registration.

"Tony! I've upgraded your life in so many ways #BlackWifeEffect, and today I'm adding one more," Washington wrote in the caption of an Instagram post including photos of Goldwyn before "Scandal." "Go upgrade your voter registration status to REGISTERED 😜. Love you!!!!!!"

"I’d be lost without you kw…🤣 Registering NOW!🙌❤️," Goldwyn commented.
