Wildfire Woes: Can't Put a Fire Hydrant on a Prayer
Firefighters from across the Hill Country are battling a wildfire in Mason County, because apparently, Mother Nature decided to throw a tantrum late Thursday night.
According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, the fires were grouped into a complex "due to their proximity to one another for ease of management." It's like the wildfire version of a family reunion, but nobody brought the potato salad.
Where's the Party?
The wildfire is throwing its shindig about seven miles east of Mason near the intersection of North Art Road and Highway 29.

How Much of the North Art Complex Fire is Contained?
As of 8:30 a.m. Friday, the North Art Complex fire has spread to 3,000 acres with 10% containment. Initially, the fire was highly active and structures were threatened. But by early morning, the fire activity had diminished, and responders were focused on building a containment line around its perimeter, like a fence, but for fire.
Bastrop County Fire: 60% Contained
A smaller 10-acre fire is burning in Bastrop County and is 60% contained. The cause is unknown, but we're pretty sure it's not the vegan grill-out that went wrong.

Stay safe, folks! Remember, guns don't start fires, liberals do!
