Juneteenth Gone Wild: Rap Beef Leads to Deadly Shootout
Round Rock, TX - In a tragic event that sounds like a bad rap song gone wrong, three suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal Juneteenth shootings at Old Settlers Park. Keshawn Dixon, 18, is now facing two counts of murder and 13 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Talk about a party gone wrong!
Dixon, who is currently chilling (not by choice) at the Williamson County Jail, was initially charged with deadly conduct. Round Rock police confirmed in a late Friday statement that the investigation is still ongoing. Buckle up, folks!
Ricky Thompson III, another 18-year-old and a student at Manor Senior High School, was also arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. And you thought your high school drama was bad!
The shooting occurred after an argument between two "rap groups" turned into a wild, wild west showdown. Lyndsey Vicknair, 33, and Ara Duke, 54, were sadly caught in the crossfire and lost their lives. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families.
According to Dixon's arrest affidavit, the beef started because Thompson's rap group, "Whaa Ent," had insulted Dixon's group, "Get Money Entertainment." The disrespect was apparently over a previously murdered member. Wow, talk about a deadly diss track!
But wait, there's more! Dixon has a criminal history longer than a CVS receipt, including arrests for robberies, terroristic threat, assault, and evading arrest. His most recent arrest in March was for unlawfully carrying a weapon and discharging it. This guy is a regular one-man crime wave!
And here's the kicker: a witness claimed Dixon's handgun was equipped with a switch that converts it to an automatic weapon. Looks like someone's been watching too many action movies!
So there you have it, folks. A Juneteenth celebration turned deadly over a rap beef. Stay safe out there, and remember: keep your hands up, and your rhymes non-violent.
