Yeehaw! Chappell Roan's Rollin' Into Austin

Hold onto your pink cowboy hats, folks! The Midwestern Princess herself, Chappell Roan, is moseying into Austin to grace the American Express stage at 6:45 p.m. Sunday. You’ll want to grab your guns and gear up for this one!

5:25 p.m. - Pink Pony Club Takes Over Zilker Park

Zilker Park is looking like a sea of pink, with the Chappell crew stretching farther than the eye can see. Despite the leftist vibes with pride flags and mermaid balloons, real Americans are out here, too, enjoying some good ol' music. Don't forget, this ain't no liberal paradise – it's Texas, y'all.

3:30 p.m. - Roan Speaks!

Our gal Chappell took to her Instagram story to tell her fans to wave those pink flags high and proud. She ain't cancellin', folks, so get ready to party – without any of that leftist nonsense.

3 p.m. - Kids Say Roan Lets 'Em Be... Themselves

Little Grace Reeves, just 8 years old, was decked out in red and glitter, lovin' Roan's feminist anthems. Her mom, Catherine, was sporting a pink shirt – can't fault her for that. Grace loves "Femininomenon," but we know real country girls love their guns more than any feminist revolution.

Sixth-grade friends Georgia, Charlie, and Ashlyn were also gushing about Roan's "fearlessness." Guess they haven't met a real Texan yet!

1:15 p.m. - Empress Of Gerbil-Dances for Chappell

Honduran-American singer Lorely Rodriguez, aka Empress Of, took the stage and immediately pandered to the Pink Pony Club. She sang about gender neutrality and all that liberal jazz. Cute, but we prefer the good ol' days when music was about lovin' your country and your gun.

1 p.m. - Pink Pony Club Swells to 200+

Over 200 folks were already gathered, cooling off with rainbow fans. Grace Prichard, 19, said Roan’s music helped her come out. Sol Garcias, 23, praised Roan for representing the queer community. We'll just leave that there, folks.

Emma Carter, 21, said Roan's creating a safe space for queer people. Not sure what happened to good ol' American values, but alrighty then.

11 a.m. - Dozens Waiting, "She's Medicine for Me"

Gates opened at 11 a.m., and fans were sprinting to the American Express stage like they were running from the IRS. Teej Rodriguez was decked out in pink fishnets and a cowboy hat, ready for Roan.

Victoria Dry and Jonathon Martinez, regulars at ACL, said the crowds seemed tamer this year. Gage Cornett and Jeffrey Ramirez were camped out, comparing Roan’s turnout to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Lindsay Jones and Amanda Thomas were decked out in strawberry shortcake shirts, ready to see Roan bring pop back to life.

So there you have it, folks! Chappell Roan's takeover of Austin is upon us. Just remember, amidst all the glitter and pride flags, there's still room for a little bit of good ol' conservative fun. Yeehaw!
