Breaking: Libs Lose It as SCOTUS Smacks Down Biden's Abortion Mischief
In a glorious smackdown, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday gave a big, fat "Nope!" to Biden's abortion agenda, declining to intervene in the Texas abortion ban showdown. The justices, without breaking a sweat, let stand a lower court's ruling that Lone Star State hospitals can't be bullied into providing emergency abortions.
Texas, being the pro-life champ it is, only allows abortions when mom's life is seriously at risk. Docs have been playing it safe, fearing the wrath of the law. The Fifth Circuit order even said hospitals can't be forced to terminate pregnancies, even when the patient's life is on the line.
The Biden admin, with their 2022 guidance, tried to boss around Texas using some federal emergency law (EMTALA). They whined to the Supreme Court, but our heroes in robes weren't having it.
Attorney General Ken Paxton body-slammed the feds, arguing they were overstepping with their EMTALA interpretation. He roared, "This ain't right!" and warned that Biden's sneaky move would turn ERs into "walk-in abortion clinics." Tell 'em, Ken!
Pro-life OB-GYNs and Christian docs backed Texas in this brawl, filing a lawsuit against Biden's meddling.
Meanwhile, SCOTUS had already punted on a similar Idaho case a few months back, letting it simmer in lower courts. Justice Kagan had a mini meltdown, noting pregnant ladies had to be airlifted out of state for help. Drama, much?
In the end, Texas OB-GYNs and mamas-to-be are scratching their heads, puzzled by the legal mumbo-jumbo around abortion exceptions. But hey, at least the Lone Star State stands strong against the left's abortion frenzy! ππΊπΈ
