Lib-Tears Alert: Krispy Kreme Goes Full Ghostbusters!

Hold onto your MAGA hats, folks! Something strange – and sweet – is invading your neighborhood Krispy Kreme. Brace yourselves for Ghostbusters-themed doughnuts. You heard it right, snowflakes!

To celebrate Halloween and the 40th anniversary of the iconic "Ghostbusters" film (because who doesn't love a classic?), Krispy Kreme has whipped up the Ghostbusters Collection. Four doughnuts inspired by the original film starring the one and only Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray.

These treats are hitting participating shops starting Monday, so get ready to feel that sweet, sweet nostalgia. Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's global chief brand officer, said it best in a news release: “Yes it’s true, these treats are no trick. When it comes to Halloween this year, you know who to call. Krispy Kreme is the gatekeeper to Halloween sweetness and Sony Pictures Consumer Products is the key master to bring spooky-sweet Ghostbusters doughnuts to our fans this year. You’re welcome, Gozer (the movie's ancient villainous diety).”

Spooky Treats for Real Patriots

Here’s a look at what they’ve got in store for us:

• Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut made with Oreo: A chocolate-iced Original Glazed doughnut, topped with Oreo pieces, Oreo buttercreme, and a No Ghost logo candy.
• Slimer Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut with lemon-flavored green filling, dipped in purple and green icing with a Slimer candy.
• Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in orange-colored icing, topped with neon sprinkles.
• Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut Pull-Apart: Powdered Original Glazed Doughnut Dots topped with marshmallow-flavored buttercreme and a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man candy.

Get your spook on: These doughnuts are available individually or in a limited-edition custom specialty box (prices vary by location). Three out of the four (sorry, Stay Puft) will be available in a special box of six assorted doughnuts delivered fresh daily to select retailers. Check the Krispy Kreme website to find a location.

Need a spooky drink? Try the new Ghostbusters-themed drink, Slimer’s Slime-ade, in a signature ectoplasm green color.

Free Doughnuts for Halloween!

Another treat: Dress up for Halloween (Oct. 31) and get a free Original Glazed doughnut at participating Krispy Kreme shops. No purchase necessary – just show up in your best Trump 2024 costume.
