Monday's the deadline, folks! With just weeks till Election Day, make sure you're registered to vote in the presidential showdown between Kamala "Tax-More" Harris and our MAGA champ, Donald Trump. Here's your no-nonsense guide to getting registered:
How to Register to Vote in the Good Ol' US of A
Register Online (Because Who Likes Leaving the House?)
- Mosey on over to Vote.gov, the official voter registration site.
- Pick your state and get redirected to their registration page.
- Fill in your details to register, update your info, or check your status. Easy peasy!
Register in Person (For Those Who Like the Old-School Touch)
- Head to your local Department of Motor Vehicles office.
- Stop by an armed forces recruiting center.
- Visit a county public assistance office, like a SNAP/food stamps location.
Changing Your Voter Registration (Because Life Happens)
When you register to vote or change your registration, you'll get a voter registration card with all the deets:
- Your name.
- Your home address.
- Your polling station address.
- Your party affiliation (if you picked one).
In Texas, if you're already registered, update your mailing address online with the secretary of state's office at txapps.texas.gov/tolapp/sos/SOSACManager by Monday.
Documents Needed to Register (Because Bureaucracy)
Each state's different, but usually, you'll need a driver's license or state ID. If not, a bank statement or utility bill should do. Check your state's requirements at usa.gov/state-election-office.
