In a move that's got lefties clutching their pearls, Arlington, Texas, is revving up to host the IndyCar Grand Prix in 2026. That's right, folks! The Lone Star State is adding more horsepower to its already impressive lineup of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and a World Cup bid.

Get ready for a 2.73-mile street course race around North Arlington, as reported by IndyStar. The track will zoom past two iconic venues: AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field. Can you hear the engines roaring yet?

Mark Your Calendars, Patriots!

The first race is set for March 2026. Penske Entertainment, The Dallas Cowboys, and REV Entertainment (official events partner of the Texas Rangers) are backing this thrilling event. Neil Leibman, Texas Rangers chief operating officer, had this to say: "This event will set a new standard for the Arlington Entertainment District, and we look forward to welcoming fans from around the world to experience what Arlington has to offer.”

More details will be unveiled at a ceremony at Texas Live! on Tuesday. Keep your ear to the ground, folks!

Last Time in Texas: Not Enough Fans?

IndyStar reports the last IndyCar race in Texas was in 2023 at Texas Motor Speedway. But let's face it, they couldn't even draw 10,000 fans. Maybe this time around, with some good old Texas pride, we can show them how it's done!
