In a historic announcement, H-E-B has declared it's rolling out this fancy new feature across all its stores. Get ready to wave your phone around like you just don't care!

H-E-B is taking it slow and steady, like a good ol' Texas cowpoke. They're launching tap-to-pay region by region, and guess who's first at the rodeo? San Antonio, of course! Y'all better get your phones ready, because you'll be the first to experience this technological marvel.

The rollout will continue throughout the month, with Texas locations and Mi Tienda stores in Houston joining the party soon. It might take a week to get each location up and running, but hey, good things come to those who wait, right?

Ashwin Nathan, H-E-B's Group Vice President of Marketing and Payments, is just as excited as we are. "At H-E-B, we're always exploring a broad range of technologies to enhance how customers shop and pay for products," Nathan said. "This has been one of the most requested services we have received from our customers and Partners, and we are excited to now make this popular technology available at all our H-E-B locations."

Once tap-to-pay is live, you can tap with your physical cards or digital wallets at cash registers, self-checkout lanes, H-E-B brand restaurants, and pharmacy locations. Fuel pumps might take a bit longer, but don't worry—tap-to-pay will eventually save the day there, too.
