Liberal Heads Explode: Mexican Regional Artist Invades ‘Austin City Limits’!
Buckle up, snowflakes! Carín León just brought some much-needed spice to the otherwise vanilla “Austin City Limits” on PBS. While the libs were still nursing their soy lattes from the first week of ACL Fest, León was making history.
1. First Mexican Regional Artist Storms ‘ACL’ Stage
It only took 50 years, but a Mexican regional artist finally graced the stage of ‘Austin City Limits’. While the show started with Willie Nelson crooning “Whiskey River” in 1974, it’s about time they added some mariachi flair to the mix. ¡Ándale arriba! Read more about it here, if you can handle the truth.
2. León’s Massive Band Puts Liberal Tears to Music
León packed almost 20 musicians onto the Moody Theater’s stage. We’re talking accordions, trombones, trumpets, tubas, the works! It was like a conservative’s dream – a beautiful cacophony of sounds that triggered liberals coast to coast.

3. Bilingual Covers: A Sonoran Artist’s Attempt at Inclusion
León busted out two bilingual songs from his summer album, featuring Kane Brown and Leon Bridges. Looks like even he’s not immune to the left’s diversity agenda. But we’ll let it slide, because who doesn’t love a good fusion of cultures?
4. León Tips His Hat to Johnny Cash, Liberals Weep
León covered Johnny Cash’s “Man in Black” and turned it into a foot-stomping honky-tonk jam. Even his trombonist couldn’t keep up! Guess that’s what happens when you bring real music to a liberal safe space.
Profile: In the first ‘Austin City’s Limits’ taping of música regional, Carín León fit right in, much to the dismay of the left.
